Ten Reasons to Become a Member of Turkish Neurological Society

The Turkish Neurological Society is in a different position from the hundreds of associations and organizations operating in the field of neurology across the country today. Turkish Neurological Society is the umbrella organization that brings us all together, embraces all neurological diseases/subjects and is the most important academic authority in the country on a global scale. Turkish Neurological Society is our association. We all should be members of Turkish Neurological Society. You ask why? First things that come to mind:
1- If the members of the Turkish Neurological Society do not have financing for the participation of the national congress, there is Society!
In the national neurology congresses, which we will hold for the fifty-nine time this year, friends come together, friendships are made, old days and tomorrow's plans are together, they are both met and reunited. This doesn't happen anywhere else. The stroke teacher sees his old friend epilepsy teacher there, the two specialists who do their assistantships meet his longing, there he meets the assistant at one university. National congresses are where the future is built from the past.
The Turkish Neurological Society acts with the motto "There will be no neurologists who want to go to the national neurology congresses but cannot attend". The Turkish Neurological Society encourages and, more importantly, provides attendance to national conventions. It gives "full scholarship" to all its neurologist members who apply in this regard. This has always been so and will continue to be so. Just apply.
The national congress is in 5 days and 10 halls. We are all speakers and participants there. There is a tradition of “A maximum of three assignments can be taken” in national congresses and this is a habit that allows us to be very-vocal. It will continue and will continue without exception. It is our goal to make our best speech of the year and present our most valuable work at the national congress. The national congress is always the most important national academic lectern and lantern. The scientific paper presented here is another valuable one. In order to take part in the national congress, but most importantly, to own and build it, we must become a member of the Society. Congress and Society only exist if we protect both.
2-Become a member of the Turkish Neurological Society Study groups, say hello to science, education and campaign!
The Turkish Neurological Society has many study groups. In addition to academic education, research and advancement, scientific and other study groups operate in different aims, from defending our vocational and professional rights to solving legal problems, from education and culture. Study groups prepare congress programs, arrange relations with private branch/neurodisease-specific associations if there are any, organize symposiums, webinars and workshops, blend young people with masters, and this comes out as a book, article, research or a petition. Working groups are a critical stakeholder and opportunity in postgraduate education.
3- In order to benefit from the scientific research support of the Turkish Neurological Society, it is necessary to be a member of the Society.
Turkish Neurological Society provides high volume support with rapid procedural work to research projects whose primary director is its member and neurologist. Our research support is offered as a result of rapid and rigorous academic evaluation. Apart from fixtures, it offers the opportunity to spend on a wide variety of items, from service procurement to computer software. If you are a TND member, you can get a research scholarship.
4- Turkish Neurological Society supports its members by providing educational scholarships in Turkey and abroad.
Turkish Neurological Society provides scholarships to its members for one year of further education at homeland and abroad. Scholarship amounts are frequently updated and announced. Our biggest goal is to support our members to develop themselves with the training they will receive. Turkish Neurological Society also supports its members to present their own scientific research at international meetings. Turkish Neurological Society provides sufficient support for its members to attend international meetings for their oral presentations.
5- The Turkish Neurological Society support Free participation for Turkish Neurology Board courses and exams for its members!
The Turkish Neurological Society supports the activities of the Turkish Neurology Board. Participation in qualification courses and exams and other necessary funding are provided to Turkish Neurological Society members.
6-Neurology-TV: Türkiye Neurology's largest virtual video library for Turkish Neurological Society members.
The national congress presentations of the last 6 years and the lectures in the Turkish Neurology Board courses of the last 5 years, various training videos and webinars are the important building blocks of postgraduate neurology education. All at the service of our members. With different perspectives from different professors, but all up to date and highly scientific.
7-Turkish Neurological Society publications are sent free of charge to its members.
The Turkish Neurological Society sends the high quality textbooks, treatment guides and other books it publishes to the addresses they wish upon the request of its members. In addition, Turkish Neurological Society members can read books and other publications electronically. The Turkish Journal of Neurology and the Turkish Neurology Bulletin are open access and their up-to-date scientific information and news are provided to our members. Turkish Neurological Society Bulletin and Magazine have been offered to the service of members since the day it was founded, and they are together on an annals and up-to-date basis.
8-Turkish Neurological Society full member is also a corporate member of EAN and WFN.
As a full member of the Turkish Neurological Society, we also become a corporate member of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) and the World Neurology Federation (WFN). Our EAN and WFN annual dues are paid by Turkish Neurological Society. Thus, we can benefit from the educational activities of these two sources. You can also be one of about 60 colleagues representing the Society on EAN scientific committees.
9-Turkish Neurological Society stands by its members in administrative and legal problems.
The Turkish Neurological Society responds, guides and accompanies all requests from its members in legal matters, without exception, with legal counsel, meticulously and adequately. Turkish Neurological Society is involved in litigation when necessary, meets with administrators when needed, and strives to do just that, whatever it takes. On the other hand, our members can go to the Society's website with their own password and username, and can search for similar and experienced problems and examine previous comments and decisions.
