Official World Brain Day Webinar on July 22

20.07.2020

The World Federation of Neurology has partnered with the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society to support the 6th Annual World Brain Day. This year, World Brain Day is dedicated to raising awareness for Parkinson’s Disease (PD), a neurodegenerative brain disease that affects the mind, movement and almost all aspects of brain function. PD is the fastest growing neurodegenerative disorder in the world, and we are determined to end this.

WFN is hosting a free webinar on July 22 at 12:30pm Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) with some of the world’s leading neurologists, patient advocates and Parkinson’s Disease experts to offer vital insights on the disease as well as discuss the current state of prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Register here.

Parkinson’s Disease affects more than 7 million people around the globe—that’s nearly equivalent to the entire population of New York City. Our goal is to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and its impact on society in an effort to improve access to quality neurological care and life-changing treatments.

We hope you will attend the webinar on July 22 and spread awareness to move together to end Parkinson’s Disease by using the hashtags #WorldBrainDay and #WBD2020.

We invite you to spread the news in your country and invite patients with PD, their caregivers and other local stakeholders to join the webinar.

We warmly invite you to send your brief video on your plans/thoughts on WBD2020 as soon as possible. Feel free to post additional brief videos on local WBD2020 activities from now to the MDS virtual congress 2020. Our email is [email protected].

Sincerely,
